The Story of Alan Brown and Browns Piling
Alan Brown became a self-employed earthmoving contractor at the age of twenty one and in 1997 he and his wife Belinda established Browns Earthmoving Pty Ltd (Browns). Since then, Browns has been awarded a contract for Melbourne’s Westgate Freeway upgrade. Due to rough terrain, Brown developed a new solution to complete the job and thus learned enough about drilling to be considered an expert.
In 2006 the company was rebranded as Browns Piling and because of high customer demand they created their own cores barrels and augers and built up their drilling expertise. The company was also contracted to work on the Eastlink, RRLFDP, M80 upgrade, Peninsula Link and the Geelong Freeway upgrade projects. Browns have done work with small to medium residential contracts and major commercial and civil construction projects.
Alan Brown said that his company’s main strength lies are:
- Extensive industry knowledge,
- Having the latest equipment,
- An experienced, highly skilled team of operators.
